28 June 2022 – Bangkok – Suzuki Motor (Thailand) Co.,Ltd. disclosed its sales figures during the first 5 months of 2022 (January – May) that total sales stood at 9,710 units. He noted that the SUZUKI SWIFT sports hatch back car claimed the number one spot with the most sales at 4,026 units, increasing by 45.55% when compared to the same period of 2021. SUZUKI CELERIO, the compact car with beyond par qualities also saw sales of 2,204 units. This shows growth of 21.30% percent comparing to that of last year. Suzuki Carry, the multipurpose pickup truck took home the total sales of 1,433 units, an increase of 38.59%. The combined sales of other models stood at 2,047 units, which is also quite promising, Mr. Amano expressed.


Mr. Wallop Treererkngam, Executive Vice President of Suzuki Motor (Thailand), on the other hand, mentioned that through the different crises in various aspects, whether that is the retracting economy, the outbreak of Covid-19, rising oil prices, and the steep competition among automotive companies in the Thai market, sales continue to expand for Suzuki. Nonetheless, the most vital factor is consumers are becoming more prudent with their spending and have opted to purchase products that are more cost efficient and value worthy.
