Suzuki also receives Most Gorgeous Costume Design Award 2021

4 April 2021 – Bangkok – Mr. Minuro Amano, President of Suzuki Motor (Thailand) said, since the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic has improved, the government has allowed more activities to be held, prompting the business sector to get back to normalcy. Meanwhile, the organizing of the Bangkok International Motor Show 2021, the first of such exhibition for the year, has helped to stimulate both the automotive market and the national economy greatly. The motor show has been well received by the public, as throngs of visitors had attended the event, inducing a perfect atmosphere for trading between the entrepreneurs and buyers. At the same time, all visitors were socially responsible and strictly followed the disease prevention guidelines set up by the organizers. The event was also a success for Suzuki as booking surpassed target – total booking stand at 2,689 units.

Suzuki’s popularity among customers at the 42nd International Bangkok Motor Show truly reflects consumers’ confidence and trust in Suzuki to provide them with the right vehicle for everyday use. The model which caught the most attention was, the NEW SUZUKI SWIFT hatchback eco car, as it received the highest level of booking at the event.

The following list details the number of booking for each model:

● NEW SUZUKI SWIFT the famous hatchback eco car 1,078 units

● SUZUKI CIAZ the eco sedan - 257 units

● SUZUKI CELERIO the beyond expected quality - 455 units

● SUZUKI CARRY the multipurpose pickup truck - 198 units

● SUZUKI ERTIGA the 7-seater MPV - 145 units

● SUZUKI XL7 the sports crossover - 556 units

Mr. Wallop Treererkngam, Executive Director for Sales and Marketing of Suzuki Motor (Thailand), on the other hand, informed that Suzuki has given great importance to participating in this Bangkok International Motor Show as it is one of the biggest motor shows in Thailand and is one of the top factors to encourage automotive sales in the country. Due to this, Suzuki has paid extra attention to details in setting up the Suzuki booth to showcase all of its models this year, all the way to designing the costume for the SUZUKI Lady – our SUZUKI car representatives at the motor show. Suzuki’s efforts were paid off when the Grand Prix International (Public) Co., Ltd., the event’s organizer, has awarded Suzuki with The 42nd BIMS Best Award 2021 -Most Gorgeous Costume Design Award.

Mr. Wallop noted that despite the tough competition since the beginning of the year, but with Suzuki’s well-planned marketing direction that focuses on the true desire and needs of the customers, both in the sales and services, together with special offers provided by various leading financial institutions, customers were able to get their hands on a Suzuki automobile even easier. On top of everything, Suzuki has produced a variety of models in response to the different needs of drivers which further created confidence among consumers in Suzuki’s before and after sales services which helped triggered better than predicted booking number at the event.

All this, however, does not stop Suzuki from its future plans to expand its showroom and service centers network to cover 140 locations nationwide by March 2022, to align with the increasing number of Suzuki family members in the future.
