30 November 2022 – Bangkok – Suzuki Motor (Thailand) is set to stun the Thai automotive market once again, as it announces the grand official launching of the NEW SUZUKI ERTIGA SMART HYBRID in Thailand under the theme of “The Power of Smart – Full Functionality and Smart Hybrid Power”. The new model was designed to capture the heart of hybrid lovers with the Smart Hybrid Vehicle (SHVS) technology, Suzuki’s newest smart hybrid system. At the same time, Suzuki is gearing forward with its Suzuki automotive army for the 39th Thailand International Motor Expo, highlighting Suzuki’s focus on bringing the best quality vehicles fit for every lifestyle to customers.

Mr. Minoru Amano, President of Suzuki Motor (Thailand) informed that the 39th Thailand International Motor Expo will be held from 1 – 12 December 2022 at Impact Challenger Halls 1 – 3, Muang Thong Thani. The event will act as another stimulant for the national automotive market at year’s end, which should help raise sales and propel the industry continually forward.

The theme for the 39th Thailand International Motor Expo is “It’s TIME to Experience the FUTURE”, signifying an upcoming change in the automotive market where the present engine system used in vehicles in Thailand will be transitioning into electric. The concept is also in line with Suzuki’s future business direction, in which it will no longer be presenting only the best quality and value-efficient products, but vehicles with smart technology, pushing drivers to have more freedom in driving than before.

For the forthcoming motor expo, Mr. Amano said, Suzuki is proud to be presenting the “NEW SUZUKI ERTIGA SMART HYBRID: The Power of Smart – Full Functionality and Smart Hybrid Power. This 7-seater MPV has been installed with the Smart Hybrid engine to fit every type of lifestyle with smart technology for every journey. The SHVS technology is Suzuki’s new Smart hybrid system which comes equipped with the Integrated Starter Generator or ISG and Lithium-ION battery to help improve fuel economization and become more eco-friendly. Together with the full functionality this model has on offer, it will provide a smarter and freer journey for every driver. Mr. Amano stressed that Suzuki believes the launching of the “NEW SUZUKI ERTIGA SMART HYBRID” will bring about another “wow” in the Thai MPV market, making the market more active, which will in turn help to stimulate Suzuki’s sales in 2022.

Despite the decline in the overall automotive market, Suzuki’s statistics during the past 10 months has seen a growth of 2.49% with a total sales of 17,180 units, noted Mr. Amano. He added that Suzuki’s most important strategy was to present the perfect products and services to customers, ensuring everyone can become a Suzuki car owner with ease for a happier and more safety lifestyle. Mr. Wallop Treererkngam, Vice President of Suzuki Motor (Thailand) revealed that the “NEW SUZUKI ERTIGA SMART HYBRID: The Power of Smart – Full Functionality and Smart Hybrid Power” comes with a design that will provide a journey of smart freedom. Its new Smart Hybrid engine has full functionality and is perfect for every purpose. The new innovative SHVS technology and the ISG and Lithium-ION battery will improve the engine’s operationalization and Regenerative capacity, a vital system which helps reduce gas emission and make the car eco-friendlier.

“The most prominent feature of the Smart Hybrid engine is how it can bring ‘smartness’ into every journey, assuring that all of us can make wise and clever decisions while on the road. The model comes with a 1.5-litre engine and automatic transmission, with a dimension of 4,395 mm. by 1,735 mm. and height of 1,690 mm. Apart from its fuel economization capacity of 17.9 km./liter, the vehicle is installed with an efficiency to take off smoothly, whereas the level of carbon dioxide emission only stands at 134 g./km. Maintenance for the engine is no different from that of a benzene engine; easy to operate, while Suzuki is also offering a 5-year warranty for the battery as well”, Mr. Wallop noted.

He added that the “NEW SUZUKI ERTIGA SMART HYBRID” further excels with its brilliant interior and exterior designs. The grille has also been redesigned to be more unique, combining with the ‘Automatic projector headlights with the Guide Me functionality for a safer night cruise. The LED light guides and Hybrid emblem on the trunk bring the model to new heights, the Auto Retractable Outside Mirrors, new antenna, 15-inch two-tone aluminum wheel covers

For the interior, the black console has been decorated with grey wood designs and Charcoal pattern garnish and multi-function equipment. This includes an LCD screen to display the measuring gauges, battery status and the vehicle’s vital information, like the G-Force Driving status and fuel consumption. The 10-inch touchscreen ensures the perfect connections for all things entertainment, including an MP3 and WMA player, Bluetooth functionality and smart phones, along with USB and HDMI sockets.

The D-shape steering wheel is installed with the Cruise Control, volume, and call buttons to ensure the highest level of convenience and safety during every drive. The new Smart Hybrid key system makes Keyless entry even smoother and easier.
