Mr. Amano noted that, the 42nd Bangkok International Motor Show has been organized with the theme, “Shaping the Next Chapter”, focusing on how the Covid-19 pandemic has reshaped the normal way of life, while at the same time, advanced innovations and technology to meet the needs of the public in order for all of us to stay safe, comfortable and happy. This theme is in line with Suzuki’s business operation plans during the past year, that despite the hardships caused by the coronavirus, Suzuki has seen a growth rate 7 percent from last year where the total sales stood at 25,528 units in 2020. Suzuki’s main strategy was to present products that fit customers’ needs and are obtainable. These products will certainly uplift the safety of drivers and bring about more happiness to Suzuki’s consumers. This further represents Suzuki’s determination to provide the perfect products and services during this new normal way of life era. He stressed that by joining this motor show, together with the improving situation which should stimulate an atmosphere for easier decision in vehicle purchasing, Suzuki is expecting up to 2,500 units of car bookings from this event alone. The number should also pave the way to achieve the targeted overall sales of 30,000 units in 2021.

Mr. Wallop Treererkngam, Executive Director of Sales and Marketing of Suzuki Motor (Thailand) informed that, all visitors at the Bangkok International Motor Show 2021 will get the chance to experience and see all Suzuki models. The biosafety unit has been designed and modified by the KMITL Fight for Covid-19 Centre and the Research and Creative Design Centre (RCDC) under the Architecture Faculty of King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang. This said unit is designed out with the principle of Human-Centered Design, the design concentrates on the practical use of the user and was built on top of the pickup’s flatbed and installed with the HEPA filter and positive pressure systems to assure the physicians or technicians are safe from infection; reducing risk within the unit itself while preventing the virus from spreading into surrounding areas. The mobile unit also helped cut PPE cost.

The SUZUKI CARRY Biosafety Mobile was further designed to hold over 300 virus samples per day. And with the vehicles great driving performance and agility, it will be able to access hard to reach places and help reduce crowdedness at hospitals, while increasing active case findings among Covid-19 risk groups.

Mr. Wallop noted that, this Suzuki Biosafety Mobile Unit will be donated to ‘Dr. Lab Panda’ or Mr. Phakphum Dejhasadin, an online sensation medical technologist, in order for him to use the vehicle for mobile medical operations in different locations and increase the number of Covid-19 active case findings.
